Accessibility

With around 15% of people in the UK registered as disabled it is essential that your website is accessible as possible to the widest number of people possible.

Accessibility is paramount in all of the web development we undertake. We work for many demanding organisations which insist on adherence to a wide range of development standards including The Disability Discrimination Act, RNIB, e-gov standards and the the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). Our front-end developers understand these standards and are passionate about ensuring that code is both elegant and a demonstration of web coding best practice. This means that the front-ends we develop are compatible with the widest possible range of browsers, platforms and technologies.

To be accessible your site should have a rating of A, AA or AAA (with triple A the highest level of accessibility you can reach). We work on the basis that all our web development should meet the minimum of AA standard as defined by the Web Accessibility Initiative unless there is a clear business case for why this cannot be achieved.

Our designers and programmers are fully experienced in developing sites that conform to the standards and guidelines set down by the WAI – without compromising the creativity and aesthetics of design.
