Sustrans: Change Your World campaign microsite

  • Sustrans wanted an interactive microsite to promote their summer campaign, which ran from 1st June to 4th July 2010. The premise of the campaign was based around the charity's aim to increase the number of local journeys carried out by foot, bike or public transport.

  • Users were encouraged to pledge to change their world by walking, cycling or catching public transport, instead of driving. Additionally, they were asked to lobby their government representatives, urging them to make sustainable modes of transport a priority.

  • The original goal was to virtually travel all 24,900 miles around the world once; however by the end of the campaign, the final miles completed reached an outstanding 176,782 miles in 34 days - far more than previously hoped for or expected.

This total mileage, when translated, saved over 51 tonnes of CO2 and £25,856 on petrol.
