Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE)
As the government's advisor on architecture, urban design and public space, CABE's new website had to reinforce their position as an arbiter and champion of good design. The key challenge was to create a design that could handle complex editorial content whilst keeping the interface as clean and uncluttered as possible.
They needed a website that could handle this volume of information. Great care was taken with the typographic detailing, ensuring that lengthy running text had wide, clean white margins around it to create a comfortable reading experience for users. The design was kept spare and classic, while animation was confined to image carousels and drop-down caption panels only.
