Newmarket Racecourses is the historical home and current powerhouse of British horseracing with racing, numerous conferencing facilities and evening entertainment on offer. The website had to promote all of this and had to be launched prior to their first meeting of the year.

Problems with the old site meant that Newmarket was unable to adequately promote the many events and facilities it has to offer. But most importantly, the site wasn't communicating what any enthusiastic racegoer already knows: Newmarket offers the best flat racing in the world and with its history and tradition it can lay claim to be 'The Home of Racing'.

We restructured, redesigned and redeveloped the site. The new design makes extensive use of the client's high-quality image library, which captures a real sense of place and occasion, showcasing the beauty of Newmarket and successfully communicating the heritage of its racecourses. All of this is underpinned by an introductory animated feature which takes visitors on a swift run through the history of Newmarket, starting with Charles II and ending with a celebration from last season.

We gave the new site flexibility. Visitors are able to quickly click to the spring, summer, or autumn home pages to see what is coming up at Newmarket. There are around 50 different variations which can be used to compliment the marketing strategy of Newmarket at any given time of the year which makes it possible to promote current events and sponsors as well as the opportunity to market future events.
