  • Aberdeen Aberdeen 22 March

Following the successful seminar series Capitalising on your Digital Future and the publication of the Integration or Isolation? report into the digital landscape for financial services, the Precedent team has been working on progressive projects and continuing to assess the future of digital.

This seminar is an update on our latest thinking and practical application of digital innovations.

What will we cover?

  • Firstly, we will discuss the digital trends that you should be planning for right now in your communication strategies. We will look at how technology is adapting to keep up with people's changing habits and methods of consuming media
  • As we all now know, mobile devices are revolutionising the way we build relationships with audiences online. We will consider the current opportunity responsive design can bring and help answer some of the many questions surrounding the implementation of a successful mobile strategy
  • Carefully considered design and an optimised user journey are critical to success. We will look at design trends in visualisation with the opportunity HTML5 brings and the impact it can have on your user journey. Social networking now seems old news but we will consider how the latest developments can extend your thinking in this space
  • The final aspect will consider how to find and measure a return on investment (ROI) from your digital spend. We often see a disjointed approach to introducing digital elements into an organisation and will look at a practical way to bring your digital pieces together, forming a coherent strategy that demonstrates potential ROI.

What's in it for you?

This seminar will help you prioritise the digital trends, understand how they can revolutionise the way you build relationships with your audiences on and offline, and bring value to your business. By popular request we will ensure a healthy question and answer session is included to open up the debate on some of the points raised.

In the second half we put your websites in the spotlight using real examples from the audience.

Best practice, industry trends and practical instructions for turning your website into one that drives recruitment, increases the use of online services, reduces queries and complaints and advice on how to manage your web presence the best way possible for your business.

Digital Marketing Head-First: Dive in like a Pro

  • Edinburgh Edinburgh 11 May

In this new seminar we'll be tackling many of the issues surrounding digital marketing and focus on giving you top tips and hints to take away.

We'll consider how organisations should be using digital marketing to best effect, ranging from free activities like social media and content seeding, to paid techniques like Pay-Per-Click campaigns. As well as thinking about how to properly integrate and manage multiple marketing channels, we'll share tips for how to manage internal teams, create and publish new content, and collect and interpret the right data and metrics.

The first half will focus more on using digital marketing to communicate on behalf of the entire organisation, while the second will look at using digital marketing and other channels to run campaigns for specific messages/target audiences.

We'll pick a few audience organisations in advance and use them to illustrate the advice for both halves of the seminar – for example, setting up sample buzz monitoring for each, doing sample targeting for paid ads on the Google network, and showing where campaigns would tie-into their existing website, etc.

The seminar will feature a light touch of theory with a heavy dose of how-to, best practice, and audience examples to bring the instruction to life.

There will of course be a light breakfast and plenty of time for networking and questions as well. We hope to see you there!
